Unifying Multiple Restaurant Brands Under One Roof

Client: Dine Upstate

Problem: How to house multiple distinct restaurant concepts on one website while keeping each brand’s identity strong and navigation easy for customers.

Background

Dine Upstate is a hospitality group with a growing portfolio of restaurants, bars, and food concepts, each with its own brand, menu, and vibe. As their collection expanded, their online presence became fragmented and confusing for customers.

Previously, customers had to navigate multiple separate websites (or poorly linked pages) to find menus, make reservations, or even discover that the concepts were all part of the same group.

What the client wanted:
  • A single website to showcase the entire portfolio

  • Unique home pages for each restaurant/concept to maintain brand identity

  • Easy navigation so customers could explore other concepts, book reservations, or place orders

Building the Unified Experience

I designed and built a central Dine Upstate website that functions as a hub with unique microsites (or “home pages”) for each restaurant.

Key features:
  • Distinct branded pages for each concept (color scheme, photography, menus, tone)

  • Unified header and footer with clear navigation across all concepts

  • Smart homepage design introducing all restaurants, helping cross-promote the portfolio

  • Mobile-friendly, intuitive design focused on reservations and online ordering

  • SEO-friendly URLs and metadata for each concept
